Nusfjord, Norway — about 65° geomagnetic latitude. A preserved fishing village wedged into a steep, narrow cove on the south of Flakstadøya — one of the rare places UNESCO has protected.
Where to look
The cove opens south-west, so the sky is narrow — look for the curtain to the north, over the ridge. Open-horizon spots a few kilometres north (Ramberg on the E10, Skagsanden beach) give a far wider stage on the same island. Foreground: the harbour's green-and-red wharf buildings.
